Sam currently works online and in-person and has helped many professional athletes including those from the Darwin Salties basketball team, Tasmanian Jack Jumpers NBL, PINT football club and Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc. He has a strong interest in ankle, knee and chronic back pain, having suffered these conditions himself previously.
Matt Sullivan
Bachelor of Sport Science; Doctor of Physiotherapy
Matt is a physiotherapist with a deep understanding of what it means to come back from injury - not just as a clinician, but as someone who’s lived it. Before becoming a physio, Matt was an avid runner and weekend footballer whose active lifestyle came to a halt after years of undiagnosed knee pain. Told by multiple professionals to “slow down” or “just manage it,” Matt refused to accept that pain and limitation were his new normal.
Instead, he immersed himself in the world of rehab, strength training, and human movement - eventually returning to full function and later pursuing a career in physiotherapy to help others do the same.
Matt joined the Evidence Based Rehab team to be part of a movement-first approach that blends science, strength, and simplicity. He now works with active adults and everyday athletes to overcome stubborn injuries, particularly those with a history of joint pain, arthritis, or failed rehab attempts.
Matt brings a calm, methodical approach to care, with a focus on restoring confidence through movement. His clients value not just his clinical knowledge, but his lived experience — and the fact that he’s walked the path they’re now on.
When he’s not in the clinic, Matt’s usually training, hiking, or chasing down the next adventure that challenges both body and mind.
